Unite Pale Ale Hits The Pub at Golden Road

On March 8, 2014 a group of female employees from Golden Road and sister companies Mohawk Bend and Tony's Darts Away came together to brew a 50bbl batch of Unite Pale Ale in conjunction with International Women's Collaboration Brew Day. The event, which was recognized globally, took place at approximately 70 breweries -- two of which were in the greater Los Angeles area.

The Pink Boots Society is an organization near and dear to the hearts of President & Co-Founder Meg Gill and Social Media Manager Frances Lopez (pardon the third person), so it was a no-brainer to participate in this annual event that empowers and champions women in the beer industry. A portion of sales will benefit the Pink Boots Society, so come in for a pint while supplies last.

The recipe for Unite Pale Ale offered some room for each brewery to give the beer their own unique twist. Our version showcases the bright citrus synonymous with southern California by adding organic oranges in the whirlpool.

Unite Pale Ale pours impeccably clear with golden hues of orange and a thin white head. Orange peel and grassy notes dominate the aromas complimented by light pine. The flavor is clean and crisp with mild-to-moderate bitterness. Light in body with fruity notes of apricot and refreshing citrus.
